MiMi Cheng's (Birthday Date)
THE EXPERIENCE
This was probably the most amazing day of my life and so far the most special adventure yet. Before we get into why we must first cheer for the fact that June 4th was my birthday and I turned 22 years old! Yay! Now ... I'm not big on celebrations, but my girlfriend always makes sure to surprise me year after year. So, what made this day special was not the birthday or the food, but really just being able to spend time with the love of my life. She truly did an amazing job at making this day a dream. Although this MiMi Cheng's doesn't seem like much to the next man it's a whole lot to me! Also, it was only a snippet of the full day. We actually had a full day of fun and she made sure to incorporate the 4 greatest things on the planet to me: her, photography, food/sweets, and mind blowing conversations. What else could a man ask for? Nothing!
Announcement Everyone! This is my girlfriend Cynthia ... well at least half of her. She's so beautiful, right! To be honest, she's not a big fan of pictures so I have to often sneak 5 shots of her before she warms up to the camera. Once she does I always catch her smiling or off guard doing something that I find so cute. She gets all the credit for putting this amazing day together. I'm currently planning her birthday at the moment, just to make sure her's is just as great as mine was! This obviously won't be the last of her on my site and I can't wait for all the other adventures we have together.
As for Mimi Cheng's, the food is just amazing. If you're unfamiliar with Mimi Cheng's, it is a restaurant that specializes in making dumplings. The restaurant is inspired by the Cheng sisters' mom's cooking. These sisters unable to find anyone that made dumplings quite as well as their mother decided to do it themselves and share their home style cooking with the world! If you are looking to visit either of their two restaurants they can be found in Nolita, Manhattan or East Village, Manhattan. My only advice is to order every type of dumbling because you don't want to leave regretting not tasting one.
