When visiting The Brooklyn Bridge Park, my favorite place to go to is The Fulton Ferry Landing Pier. For most people that have visited the park before, this place is probably the most "touristy", boring place to be. This due to the fact that the pier is directly across from to the New York City skyline and most families have picnics here. Don't worry, if you aren't the relaxing type and need something fun to do, there are plenty of ways to occupy your time. For example, you can visit any of the other nearby streets or piers to play sports, sit on the beach, bike and/or as previously mentioned have a picnic with the family. Overall the pier is one of the most historic places to visit in Brooklyn and if you nearby feel free to stop, lay in the grass, and enjoy the view.

My friend Avanelle was already at The Brooklyn Bridge Park when she called me to ask if I wanted to meet them in the area.  I was more than happy to go and wanted to visit one of my favorite places because I knew I could capture plenty of photos of her. I was also craving some ShakeShack, which is right in front of The Fulton Ferry Landing Pier, where we would be. I also wanted to practice focusing with my new Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens and I knew this would be the perfect place. I was able to capture a lot of good moments, but for the day I focused mainly on my friend and her cousin Sierra. Even though I've been to this place plenty of times before it seems to never get old.

This is my friend's cousin Sierra! Sierra was in town for the week and had decided to go out and enjoy her time back in New York being that she'd been away for so long. Avanelle and I had been to the area hundreds of times, but she made it feel brand new all over again. It was like taking a kid to a candy store. A lot has changed in 10 years since her last visit and she was just taking it all in, bouncing from store to store. Of course, we visited The Fulton Ferry Landing Pier and she fell in love, taking pictures around the flowers, light and the bridge. The best part of this day was when she looked over at the Brooklyn Bridge only to see that there were 2 more that looked just like it.
