Jamon DavisJanuary 30, 2019 You Already Won Jamon DavisJanuary 30, 2019 The Experience Not too long ago, I had the opportunity of capturing some photos of father, author and fitness-guru Aron Gadson during his release party for his new book, “You Already Won”. The event was hosted by mother, CEO and media-model Yandy Smith-Harris who is a long time friend of Aron. As other celebrity friends such as Asap Ferg and Styles P began to arrive at the event the club quickly filled. I loved the vibe of this event. The playlist the DJ chose to play had a late 80’s early 90’s sound to it and it felt like an authentic black cookout. As Aron walked in, I felt like I was in an episode of POWER and he was Ghost. Public Relation did an amazing job with his exemplifying his image. Such a great job that I couldn’t get over the photography/videography presented at this event. Every poster and flyer was crisp, every video was well shot and the lighting was so good I didn’t have to use a flash half of the time. This event was a great example of how mature night life should be. It shouldn’t be violent and uptempo but, fun and calm. Overall, I enjoyed myself and would like to say congratulation to the author on his new book and I wish him nothing but success in the future. The book is such a great read and I can’t wait for the next one! YANDY SMITH-HARRIS Yandy Smith is a mother, American producer, entrepreneur, actress, and reality television star most famous for her role in the VH1 reality TV series ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’. It’s amazing seeing her at this event supporting her long time friend Aron Gadson. Such support being expressed at this level is huge being that in 2019 it’s not easy to find friends that will support you through the most difficult times in your life. Let alone, be so loyal that they make it into your closest circle when you are successful. So I would like to commend her on her loyalty. It has been exemplified through her marriage and the day of this event. ARON GADSON As a young man with few opportunities, Aron Gadson turned to street life quickly and earned himself a 12-year prison sentence. Most would give up if they found themselves stuck in that situation but, Aron allowed it to motivate him and push him forward. Turns out his unfortunate circumstance was a blessing in disguise. Yes, it left him at the lowest point of his life but, it also gave him the opportunity rise up and show the world just who he really is. Aron gave purpose to his name is now a proud father with multiple investments in group homes for young men of color, real-estate investments and more.
